The small waterproof device attaches to a swimmer's cap or goggles, where it transmits an audible tempo beep while you swim. The beep, which is loud enough to hear in and out of water, helps you time your strokes for consistency. No more unconsciously slowing down or speeding up; with the Tempo Trainer, you'll swim at a steady, lull-free rhythm. You can also increase the tempo to kick your workouts into high gear or set a comfortable pace for longer distances. The tempo is adjustable to 1/100th of a second.
Although designed for swimmers, the Tempo Trainer also comes with a clip for exercising on dry land. Simply attach it to your shorts, shirt, or iPod and set a brisk pace while running, biking, or performing other activities.
